The Chairman of the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA), Fawad Ijaz Khan, called on the Sindh Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, in Karachi on July 29.
Matters relating to IMC Over-40s T20 Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be staged in Karachi from August 18 to 30, 2025, were discussed in detail as the Sindh Government has been approached to extend its support to the mega event.
As many as 16 top playing nations have been invited to participate in the Over-40s World Cup which is expected to feature quite a few former cricketers of Pakistan and other countries. All the matches, to be beamed live, are planned to be held at the National Stadium in Karachi.
The Sindh Sports Minister assured the PVCA Chairman of total support from the provincial government in all areas concerning the organization of the World Cup, particularly providing security to the foreign players.
On the occasion, Fawad Ijaz Khan presented a memento to Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, who was appreciative of the efforts of the PVCA in the promotion of cricket.
